Melanie is a junior cyclist known for her determination, tactical awareness, and smooth riding style. Melanie has quickly built a reputation as one of the most promising young talents in the GB cycling pathway, currently riding for camsmajaco. 

 

She demonstrates maturity, tactical intelligence and an instinctive attacking style well beyond her years, which has seen her progress rapidly through the youth ranks. She thrives in aggressive, high-tempo races and has quickly established herself as a rider capable of making decisive moves rather than waiting for the sprint. Whether executing race strategy in a fast-moving peloton on the road, or pushing the pace in time-trial efforts or bunch racing on the track, she approaches every event with professionalism beyond her years.

 

In 2024, Melanie won the Scottish National Criterium Champs (Youth) in emphatic fashion by lapping the field twice, as well as taking victory in the Scottish National Youth Circuit Series 4 (Youth) with a powerful final-lap performance.

 

Her 2025 campaign was highlighted by a standout international victory at the Youth Tour of Flanders, where she delivered a dominant solo win in rain-soaked conditions. In the same season, she claimed Bronze at the European Youth Olympics, won the British Youth Circuit Race Championship title and secured multiple titles at the National Youth Track Champs, including the Madison and Omnium.

 

With her sights set on continued success, Melanie is firmly establishing herself as one of the brightest young prospects in Scottish and British cycling.
