Lucinda Brand is one of the most accomplished and versatile riders of her generation, with an elite career spanning both road racing and cyclo-cross. Born and raised in Dordrecht, Netherlands, Lucinda grew up in a cycling family. Her father, Fred, had raced competitively and her brother Giancarlo also took up racing, inspiring Lucinda to follow them into the sport. She began racing at just eight years old and initially focused on the road, turning professional in 2009 where she quickly established herself as one of the Netherlands' leading riders.

Across an outstanding road career, Lucinda has achieved victories at some of the sport's biggest races. She became Dutch Road Race Champion in 2013, won Omloop Het Nieuwsblad in 2017 and has taken three Giro d'Italia stage victories. She has also won the Tour of Scandinavia, Tour de Suisse and Baloise Ladies Tour overall, alongside victories at the GP de Plouay and Dwars door het Hageland. Lucinda has represented leading teams in the past (such as Rabobank-Liv, Team Sunweb and Trek-Segafredo), and has been a key member of the Lidl-Trek line up since 2023. She has an adept ability to combine strength and race intelligence making her an invaluable team-mate and rider at the highest level.

Alongside her road career, Lucinda has developed into one of the most dominant forces in modern cyclo-cross. After an incredible season in 2025/2026 with multiple victories, Lucinda went on to win the World Championships and is excited to wear the rainbow bands for the upcoming season. What began as a way to stay fit during the winter developed into a second elite career, and she went on to become UCI Cyclo-cross World Champion in 2021, European Champion in the same year and a multiple-time World Cup, Superprestige and X2O Trofee series winner. She has amassed an amazing number of victories and podiums across the discipline, and has established herself as one of cycling's most respected, consistent and versatile athletes.
