Ride with Phil
Next trip dates TBC

Phil Deignan is an Irish Olympian and retired road racing cyclist who rode in 11 Grand Tours and spent five years with Team Sky. A highlight in his career was his stage victory at the 2009 Vuelta a Espana, when he overcame Roman Kreuziger in a two-up sprint in Avila, finishing 9th overall in the tour. In 2016 Deignan married fellow professional cyclist, Lizzie Armitstead and their daughter Orla was born in September 2018.

In 2018 Phil announced his retirement from professional cycling and has now turned his attention to the delivery of comprehensive and professional training services to athletes looking to improve performance by sharing advice on coaching, nutrition and clothing – which he is excited to share with the guests on this trip.

This trip welcomes a group of riders looking for their next club trip as much as riders who want to travel on their own and join a sociable group. It will give you a chance to ride with a group of passionate riders in a supported environment so you can sit back and relax knowing all you have to do is pedal! The epic landscape provides a backdrop for a mix of middle distance routes through picturesque villages, up sweeping climbs and descents down to beautiful beaches.

There will be a dedicated team of guides for the group so the group can be split according to ability – depending on how many Strava segments want to be challenged, or cafes want to be visited! Off the bike you can enjoy rest and relaxation in the hotel facilities along with a Q&A with Phil hosted by TV presenter Rebecca Charlton around life in the professional peloton, training and clothing and anything else you have questions about!
